Woman Taken By the Wind
Woman Taken By the Wind is made almost entirely from salvaged metal. The image of a Basketmaker-style ancient rock art figure (found in Grand Gulch in Utah) has been plasma cut by hand into the steel. A very old and rusty coffee can lid, picked up on a recent trip to the Oregon Badlands Wilderness, forms the head. Gemstone earrings and a copper washer mouth complete the piece.
Dimensions:
31 inches tall
13 inches wide
Ready to hand indoors or out in the garden, this marriage of rustic and fine art makes a very special one-of-a-kind gift.
Ten percent of profits from this sale go to the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (csvanw.org).
