Eagle Flew Out of the Night Shaman

$599.00
sold out

Inspired by rust, resin, and rebirth, the Eagle Flew Out of the Night Shaman is made almost entirely from salvaged metal. The head is a repurposed sprocket. Copper armbands and touches of turquoise paint provide added detail. A resin pour covers a piece of petrified wood*, which is more than 200 millions years old.

Plasma cut by hand, the bird image is based on a petroglyph found in Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona (photo #8). Some people see a stork. But perhaps it’s more of a cautionary tale: a boogeyman or boogeybird coming to take away bad children. Or adults!

DIMENSIONS

39.5 inches tall

9.5 inches wide

More than three feet tall and ready to hang indoors or in indirect sunlight, this marriage of rustic and fine art makes an unforgettable gift for you or someone else.

* Not collected from the national park.

NOTE: 10% of profits from this sale go to Native Hope (nativehope.org) and Native Women Running (nativewomenrunning.com).
