Owl Spirit (# 3)

$229.00
sold out

The owl holds a prominent place in Native American mythology. This particular representation is based on the petroglyph found at Columbia Hills State Park near Dallesport, Washington (photo #7), which is sometimes referred to as the "Spedis Owl."

Owl Spirit is made almost entirely from reclaimed materials. The image has been plasma cut by hand into the metal. (No computer-generated mass production 'round here.) A beautiful vinegar/salt-created patina colors the head, which has been sealed with a couple of coats of matte enamel for protection. The metal feathers come from old snap ties used in construction.

Dimensions:

22.5 inches tall

6 inches wide

Ready to hang indoors or out, this marriage of rustic and fine art makes an unforgettable gift for you or someone else.

And, 10% of profits go to the Navajo Water Project (navajowaterproject.org).
