Owl Spirit (# 2)

The owl holds a prominent place in Native American mythology. This particular representation is based on the petroglyph found at Columbia Hills State Park near Dallesport, Washington (photo #6), which is sometimes referred to as the "Spedis Owl."

Owl Spirit is made almost entirely from reclaimed metal. The image has been plasma cut by hand into the metal. (No computer-generated mass production 'round here.) The abstract head is made from copper, doing that beautiful patina thing that copper does. The metal headdress comes from old snap ties used in construction.

Ready to hang indoors or out, this marriage of rustic and fine art makes an unforgettable gift for you or someone else.
