The Out of the Blue and Into the Black Kachina is made almost solely from salvaged metal. The arms and feathers come from old snap ties commonly used in construction. The images, based on Ancestral Puebloan petroglyphs, are plasma cut by hand into the metal. The blue triangle has been welded to the body for a 3-D effect. Meanwhile, the rust continues to work its magic throughout the piece.
