Let the Day Begin Shaman
The Let the Day Begin Shaman is made solely from salvaged metal. Plasma cut by hand, the image of the raptor (possibly a roadrunner holding a snake) is based on a petroglyph found at the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site in New Mexico (photo #10). An old circular saw blade forms the head. The wings come from parts of a rusty steel drum. An angle grinder was used to give some of the piece its shine.
Dimensions:
33.5 inches tall
29.5 inches wide
This marriage of rustic and fine art makes an awesome addition to any home or outdoor space. The bottom can easily be driven into the ground or placed in a flower pot.
A portion of net profits from this sale go to Native Hope (nativehope.org) and Native Women Running (nativewomenrunning.com).
