The Howling at the Moon Shaman is made solely from salvaged metal. Plasma cut by hand, the image is based on an Ancestral Puebloan petroglyph found at the Upper Sand Island area of Bears Ears National Monument in Utah (photo #8). Striking a delicate balance between the original blue paint and the encroaching rust, the head comes from an old steel drum. The arms are from snap ties.
