Waiting on a Friend Spirit
The Waiting on a Friend Spirit is made almost entirely from salvaged metal. A Barrier Canyon Style pictograph serves as the inspiration for the image, which has been plasma cut by hand into the rusted body. The rock art panel can be found off of Temple Mountain Road near Goblin Valley State Park in Utah (photo #5).
A portion of some motor lamination sheets serve as the tail. The head -- a rusty coffee can lid found in the central Oregon Badlands -- holds a pool of resin, high-end mica powder, and ground turquoise from the American Southwest.
Dimensions:
16 inches tall
18 inches wide
Ready to hang indoors or under the great wide open, this marriage of rustic and fine art makes an unforgettable gift for you or someone else.
NOTE: 10% of profits from this sale go to Native Women Running (nativewomenrunning.com).
